Course specialist Athollblair Boy is 10lb lower than when winning this race last year so is hard to rule out, but preference is for FIRCOMBE HALL (nap), no stranger to the winners' enclosure here himself and back off the same mark as when last successful. The drop in grade may see a better effort from Giselles Izzy, while the unexposed Kranjcar is another for the shortlist.[David Bellingham]
