MS SAKURA could make all sit up and take notice as she is a R3.6m Vercingetorix filly and is closely related to multiple Grade 1 winner Summer Pudding. She has also drawn neatly in gate No 2. The horse on the outside of her in gate No 4 is DARK MATTER who did everything but win last time. She is improving and knows the track so could get the job done this time. WINTER BLESSING has run some fair races and should be in the money even though dropping in trip. ON SONG can only get closer after a fair debut.

The former showed good pace to finish third in the Grade 3 TAB Protea Stakes and could be hard to beat if she takes to the track. HAWKSDALE caught the eye in her debut outing and gave the impression she would enjoy further. She should relish the extra. XENOPHON is a lightly raced three-year-old gelding. The well-related son of Vercingetorix turned in a fair debut effort and can only improve. RUN FOREST RUN is another with something to come. He ran on well to finish second after a slow start and has experience at the course so could prove to be a big threat. Juvenile BRUH was quite far back on his debut due to inexperience. He hasn't drawn badly this time and could make dramatic improvement. GOOD OMEN and stablemate CALL ME WILD also look to have potential and need to be respected. More can earn.

Small but classy field for the Lonsdale Stirrup Cup. Glen Kotzen holds a strong hand with his duo: BLACKBERRY MALT and HOLDING THUMBS. The former is knocking hard at the door and could get rewarded carrying 54kg. HOLDING THUMBS is heading for bigger races and is a lot better than his last effort. Stripping fitter he could be hard to peg back at the front. SHOOT THE RAPIDS wasn't disgraced in the WSB 1900 and is going to be more at home over the extra. But FUTURE SWING, carrying a big weight, needed his run in the 1900 and could make good improvement. MARAUDING HORDE has a say too.

Quality field for the Grade 2 Tote Woolavington. GIVE ME EVERYTHING has done little wrong and looks to have more to come. The 2000m should suit but she will need a decent pace set. Soqrat filly SOHOT SOWHAT doesn't know how to run a bad race. She was denied by a head behind more experienced Bevies Delight on local debut but can go one better, especially as she is back over 1200m. DISTING should also go a lot better over her best distance. She was tried in the KwaZulu-Natal Fillies Guineas over 1600m last time where she made no show but just prior was fourth in a Listed feature over 1200m. BOSUM BUDDY has the best of the draws and can finally get rewarded after string of decent performances. Fellow Highveld fillies NIGHT VIGIL and WINGS WITHIN ME must be respected.

TURBO POWER has been in fair form and having drawn well could notch up a win at Hollywoodbets Greyville. He looks well placed. But it is an open affair. The horse that could have a lot more to come is HONOR OF KINGS who is very well bred. He disappointed a bit last time but impressed the last time he raced over this distance. DAPPER wasn't disgraced over further and will test this field. He loves the track and has gone start to finish twice before. REAL WAR goes for three in a row but switches from the straight to the turn. WHO BLINKED and PHUTLICIOUS are capable too.
