JERKO DES BUDENTS (8) is not ideally positioned either but he has been hard to knock over recent months and will be no pushover. HEROS DU REYNARD (2) ran 3rd to Nicolas Julien's horse last time, boasts a fine amateur record at the venue, and can again finish close. Seldom disappointing here, HARCADY (5) is making decent progress, has been reconfigured, and looks good enough to challenge for a spot on the podium.

She will still feel the heat from the wonderfully-engaged LADY DE GINAI (12) who has turned a corner since starting to race barefoot, and LEONITO STAR (3) who is unbeaten in 2 starts here this year. Twice a winner before being sent for a rest, LOYAL FRIEND (10) pleased on re-entry and will be considerably more competitive this time.

Winner of 3 in a row before running 3rd here last month, IBROX PARK (9) finished just behind FAKIR DE LARRE (10) that day and Theo Briand will be eager to set the record straight. Significantly better-placed on the front line, INCROYABLE BLACK (4) gave a fine account of himself on comeback and will have come on for the race. Never easy to knock when focused, IBIZA EVENING (5) reassured at Borely a fortnight back and even though sporting modified shoeing, can still play a leading role.

Solid 3rd at Cavaillon last month on just his second start of the year, FOSTER WOOD (12) returns to a track he adores and will be expected to run away with this. Christophe Martens will still be keeping a watchful eye on FILOU DE LA ROUVRE (1) who is 25m better off and barefoot for the first time since 2023, and GOLIATH DU CAUX (10) who is similarly unshod after a much-needed re-entry run. Very much at home here, HOT SUMMER (3) showed his condition under the saddle last time out and will be no soft touch.
