Brazen Bolt went AWOL for his former yard last summer but he begins life with Ruth Carr off a lowly mark and goes well at this track so any market confidence would look significant. Squealer is another lurking on a menacing mark and he could bounce back from his disappointing trip to Bahrain, while Kodiac Thriller (second choice) made a pleasing start for new connections and could be better suited by this first crack at 5f. Paul Midgley has a fine recent record in this race, though, and FRANK THE SPARK (nap) may well be the answer after his strong-finishing second at Beverley 12 days ago.[Paul Smith]
