While it's questionable what LEAVE OF ABSENCE achieved when second in the Reynoldstown at Ascot, the runaway winner ran a cracker at Cheltenham last week and Anthony Honeyball's gelding doesn't look overburdened for his first handicap. Genois will need to jump better than at Newcastle last time but drying ground would be a big plus and the talent is there. Idefix De Ciergues can also run well.[Alistair Jones]
