Roberto Escobarr
Dual Group 3 winner (2m/1m7f) for other yards in 2023; he didn't beat many last February-October and 1m4f for last month's reappearance (40-1) was too short; the latter was probably his most encouraging of five runs for current yard, however, and he's been dropped another 4lb since, which makes it 17lb below his peak mark; not ruled out.

Assail
Only seven races in total but progressive in 2023 and 2024, including winning well at Ascot (1m4f, good to firm) last July; off for five months before never dangerous at Meydan this February on his only other start on turf; can hopefully bounce back from that and there is plenty of hope for 1m6f.

Liari
Fairly useful hurdler who was consistent last jumps season, albeit in defeat; has left Paul Nicholls (same owners); unexposed on Flat (1-3 in France early in 2023) and needs a second look.

Unraced on firmer than good; progressive stayer on the Flat in 2023 before being sold for 200,000gns; missed a year afterwards and it hasn't been smooth sailing since his hurdle debut win last November, for instance close up in first-time cheekpieces in April (2m3f) but well held in them 12 days ago; no cheekpieces on this return to Flat.

Went close on return (2m, AW), off the mark on turf at Ripon (2m, good) in April and ran creditably at Chester (2m2f) nine days ago; not crying out for drop back to 1m6f but highly respected as an in-form candidate.

Sportingsilvermine
0-18 in Ireland (close second on good to firm) but won at Southwell and Musselburgh on his first two starts for James Owen before going close under a 7lb claimer at Chester; those big runs for new yard have been over about 1m3f/1m4f, keeping on well, with last two starts on good ground, and he's probably well handicapped on this first crack at 1m6f.
