Bopedro is in a less competitive race than usual but it's also a smaller field, which might not suit him so well. Mr Baloo (second choice) and My Margie are the others who have recent form to recommend them but this race might also see a return to form from Andaleep and LORDSBRIDGE BLU. Some speculation is involved in predicting that but they both look on competitive marks and Lordsbridge Blu should not be exposed just ten months after making his debut.[Richard Austen]

Both British wins were at Newmarket in 2023; still capable of useful form and ran on into second of 13 for a quite valuable race here (1m1f) 15 days ago; sole attempt over this far was in 2019 but he looks worth another go.
6l novice win at Kempton (1m4f, AW) last July with first-time blinkers; has come up shy in handicaps on all three starts since, absent since August (gelded) when fifth of 11 at Goodwood 15 days ago; kept hanging in the closing stages that day and the blinkers are reinstated; unraced on firmer than good; this is a small field but others are still a bit more persuasive.
First win (2023) was on good to firm; close call at Yarmouth (1m2f, good to soft) last August was a reminder of his early promise but clearly his best result last term; left Ed Walker for 50,000gns in October and his trainer took a big prize last weekend with a newcomer to the stable.
Four wins on AW this year (7f-9.4f); close, front-running third at Lingfield (sole attempt at 1m2f, AW) last month and good third of 14 here (1m, good) 15 days ago; 3lb claimer gives way to 7lb claimer; considered.
Fifth in last year's Cambridgeshire here; 12 wins in all, the latest at Windsor (1m2f, good to firm) last July off 3lb lower; it's a highly competitive mark if the two runs this spring have put him right.
Unraced on firmer than good; won last May in his first two handicaps, latterly over 1m2f at York (good to soft) off 8lb lower than today; 11th of 17 and last of eight in his only two runs since, last autumn, and he was 11-10 favourite on second occasion; bit to prove after that but still lightly raced.
Won three AW handicaps last year (her first two starts and her final one) and another at Southwell three weeks ago, following her second wind operation; edging up the weights, with more to prove moving up in trip and back on turf, but she's not at all discounted.
Landed a Wolverhampton novice (9.4f) last September and better form taking minor honours in 1m2f/1m4f handicaps in the autumn, all on the AW; weakened out of it on both starts this season and this is his first turf run since a promising debut; player on his autumn form; lightly raced and his yard is among the winners.
