Almazhar Garde
Thorough stayer who was very useful in his prime and exploited much reduced mark when making all at Ludlow (3m, good to soft) last month; it's hard to tell whether this race will pan out as favourably for him but he'll be fine on the quicker ground and a 5lb rise ought to be manageable.

Ballybegg
Went close over hurdles at Ludlow (2m5f, good) in March but this inconsistent and steadily regressive 10yo was not quite in the same form on his latest outing and has done all his winning ground slower than good.

Nickelforce
Won readily over C&D (good) on chasing debut in September and followed up at Ludlow (2m4f, good) in October; absent since slightly disappointing run in December but could still have untapped potential over fences.

Baskerville
Just 1-8 over hurdles but gave fairly good account when last in action five weeks ago and is suited by good ground; tries a new trip on this chasing debut (best hurdle run was over 2m5f); interesting to see how he fares.

Climbing
Quite lightly raced 7yo who has pretty solid record in good-ground contests over fences; scored at Kempton (2m4f) in the autumn and ran big race in defeat at Hereford (3m1f) last month, after a break; also suited by this track; good chance.
