It can only be with hesitation that an Aidan O'Brien runner is opposed in one of these Classic trials, and his Whirl (second choice) looks sure to be suited by today's extra distance. However, she is faced by some exciting British-trained prospects. Smoken made a big impression last season but those races were in the mud, so a chance is taken instead that last month's good-ground Newbury maiden winner SERENITY PRAYER can prove herself in this higher class. Miss Tonnere, Go Go Boots and Tattycoram also bring clear positives.[Richard Austen]

Oaks entry who left a positive impression with her novice wins at Lingfield (AW) in December and 16 days ago, overcoming a slow start on first occasion and always prominent when well on top at 2-11 last time; has much more to do in this line-up but her stable is the dominant one in this race.
Novice win at Newmarket (7f, good) last July; about 3l fourth in the Group 2 May Hill at Doncaster (1m, good) in September is the best form in this field, which was followed by a poor show in France but that was on heavy going; a realistic candidate, with 1m2f likely to suit her well.
By Dubawi; dam 7f-1m6f winner (including Group 3; RPR 104), who is sister to 1,000 Guineas and Oaks winner Love; joint-favourite, asserted in clearcut fashion in eight-runner maiden at Newbury (1m2f, good) nearly five weeks ago; shoots up in class but looks an excellent prospect.
By Too Darn Hot out of 1m4f Group 3 winner; no problems winning a maiden at Nottingham (1m, heavy) in October or when following up in Listed race at Newmarket (1m, soft) 17 days later, travelling best in both; it looks like being very different ground for this Oaks entry but she has among the best form (stable also runs Tattycoram) and brings clear potential.
Useful pedigree; shaped well both starts before getting off the mark by 2l in a five-runner novice at Sandown (1m2f, good) 19 days ago, making all; looks set for further progress.
Progressed nicely last year, on last two outings winning a maiden at Doncaster (7f, good; always prominent) and Group 3 at the Curragh (1m, soft; made most); favourite for Curragh Group 3 (1m, good) one month ago, never getting seriously involved but it was similar form and it now looks as if she needs further than 1m; entered in Group 1s over 1m, 1m2f and 1m4f.
