Ornately (second choice) is respected on the return to this C&D, along with Sibyl Charm who has been running well since undergoing wind surgery, but MAIDS HEAD shaped well here over 6f in first-time cheekpieces and will be suited by stepping back up in trip. Sheephavenbaystory posted a solid effort behind Dream Illusion in a lower grade over C&D last time and they also hold claims.[Harry March]

Three-time Newcastle winner (6f-7f) with the most recent of those wins coming last March off 14lb higher; has been in the first three in each of her three starts since wind surgery, including here over 6f 16 days ago; 5lb claimer is recruited; steps back up in trip and holds claims.
Showed improved form when winning over C&D off 4lb lower in February on handicap debut but she was unable to back that up when switched back to turf at Leicester (7f, good; raced freely) following an 82-day break; worth another chance now returning to AW.
Sole win came in a 7f maiden at Epsom last August; not disgraced at Nottingham (8.5f, good) on return and her most recent effort, when beating only one home at Doncaster (1m, good), is probably worth forgiving given a wide trip; drops back to 7f and holds place claims on her second attempt on AW.
Won a 7f soft-ground Class 5 nursery at Carlisle last August off 2lb higher but well below form since, beaten 12l at Beverley last time; tried AW on penultimate start.
0-9 but she's twice finished runner-up over C&D; bounced back from a lesser effort when a close fourth of eight here 16 days ago, keeping on over 6f in first-time cheekpieces and doing best of those held up; will be suited by the return to this trip and commands respect.
0-8; placed in her first two outings in cheekpieces (both over C&D) but below her best back on turf over 6f at Yarmouth 30 days ago; has place claims returned to AW with the step back up in trip likely to suit.
0-7 but she wasn't beaten far when fourth of 12 on handicap debut over C&D in March and backed that up with another solid effort at Southwell last month; the cheekpieces worn for those two starts are replaced by second-time blinkers; place claims once again but may prove vulnerable.
Best effort when second of 11 in first-time cheekpieces under Jack Nicholls over C&D this month in her second handicap; steps up in grade but should be competitive.
Best two efforts from five starts have been over this C&D; ran well from the front on handicap debut 16 days ago, weakening late on having raced freely on her first start for 173 days; steps up in grade but she's entitled to come on for that outing and has each-way claims.
Showed ability at Chelmsford (1m/7f) first two starts but hung badly left in the second of those and proved virtually unrideable here over 6f on her final qualifying run; off since third of eight on handicap debut here (6f) three months ago; up in grade but the step back up in trip should suit.
Failed to beat a rival on stable/seasonal debut at Kempton (6f, AW) and beaten 8l when below-form fourth of six here on handicap debut over 8.5f; drops back in trip with more needed from her.
