One-time quite useful hurdler/chaser but he hasn't run up to his best on last two runs, both over hurdles, finishing 14th of 17 in the Imperial Cup at Sandown (2m, good to soft; cheekpieces on) and last of three to one on a roll over 3m at Taunton (good to firm); has won over 2m4f (two-horse novice chase at Carlisle) but best efforts at shorter; down in grade; contender.
One-time useful hurdler; last win was off a mark 18lb higher at Musselburgh in January 2024 (2m4f, soft); in-and-out form over hurdles and fences since, poor effort over fences here on his latest start when 30l last of six in a novice handicap chase (2m4f, good to soft; second run after wind op); better effort when 14l sixth of ten over hurdles at Ayr on previous start (2m5f, good to soft) and has a chance judged on that run.
Has won four times here, the latest in this race off 2lb lower last year (good); hasn't been at his best after 151-day break on last two starts but perhaps found 2m too sharp for him when just over 9l third here last time (good to soft); should be spot on now and a major contender.
Ex-Gordon Elliott; Irish point winner in 2021 but yet to win under rules; creditable second in a maiden hurdle at Carlisle in February (2m3f, good to soft) but lesser run over that same C&D back in handicap company last time; others stronger.
Two wins over this trip at Ayr in February (soft/heavy); went up 16lb and, although decent third at Ayr (2m4f, good to soft) two runs back, needs to improve on his latest run at Perth (over 7l fifth in a 2m4f handicap).
