Haymaker
Won the corresponding race 12 months ago off a 3lb lower mark; had the benefit of a run on that occasion, and when winning the previous May, but he can run well fresh and has had another wind surgery since last in action; doesn't always get it right at the start but he's a big player if he negotiates the stalls without alarm.

Rocking Ends
Has always been blessed with plenty of ability and he did well when switched to Tom Clover last summer, winning 5f handicaps at Windsor and Newmarket; solid effort over 6f when last seen in September; not on a bad mark if ready to roll on his return.

Ran out an impressive winner of a 5f handicap at Windsor last August (good to firm) when 2lb lower; two promising runs after wind surgery in January, notably last time at Wolverhampton where he tanked through a strongly run 6f handicap, leading in the final furlong but picked off late on by two rivals who came from off the pace; dropped 2lb for that hugely promising effort and he's a major player back at 5f.

Returned from a break with an easy front-running win at Chelmsford in March; came up short off this 8lb higher mark at Epsom 18 days ago; needs a career best if he is to record a first turf win.

Won a Thirsk handicap (5f, good to firm) off a 1lb higher mark last May; looked in need of the run when tenth at Beverley on his return to action 16 days ago; can do much better here.

Responded well to a tongue-tie when scoring at Southwell (5f) in February; hung left and quickly eased when favourite for a Beverley handicap on Monday; risky on the back of that.

South Parade
Progressive in the second half of 2024 and she took another step forward when second of 13 at Beverley 16 days ago (5f, good), racing enthusiastically and only picked off in the final 100 yards (front two clear); up 3lb but she hasn't finished progressing just yet.

Spirit Of Applause
Two runs this season should have him spot on and he's on the same mark as when going close at Southwell in November; others may have a bit more handicapping scope though.
