Ninth Loch
Irish bumper winner (good to yielding) who subsequently collected three hurdle wins in France (all on heavy); started off for Harry Derham with two promising runs this year, the latter a third of 14 at Taunton (2m, soft); needs to rebound from a lesser effort at Newbury (2m4f) last month but might still be worth chancing.

Zambezi Fix
Dual C&D winner, including this race last year (good to soft); not really firing on all cylinders this season and might find today's ground a bit too lively but bumped into a huge improver when second over C&D (soft) six weeks ago and remains on a good mark.

Blotted copybook when refusing to race in February but placed on both subsequent appearances, more recently when dead-heating for close third on handicap debut at Ffos Las (2m, good) a fortnight ago; not yet fully exposed and helps to give Bernard Llewellyn a good hand in this race.

Fair on the Flat for Brian Meehan a couple of years ago and belied 150-1 odds when placed in Uttoxeter novice hurdle (2m, soft) for this stable last summer; that is by far his best hurdling performance, though, and he was well beaten when switched to a handicap in January; 2lb wrong here.
