Looked destined for the very top as a 3yo, winning the German Guineas before a luckless fast-finishing fourth in the 2022 St James's Palace Stakes; only seen once in 2023 when well short of his best; retained ability last year, notably when second in the Sussex Stakes; this would be a penalty kick if in the same form but slow starts were creeping in when last seen and he goes without any headgear (worn on last three starts) on his first run since September; effective on AW and the most likely winner but enough niggling doubts given his prohibitive odds.

He boasts a Listed win on his CV and he has run some fine races over this trip in recent months; form appeared to dip at Newcastle three weeks ago but they went no pace early and he was rather marooned in the middle of the track from stall 1; wouldn't be wise to underestimate him.

Listed winner here (1m2f) in December 2023; ran as well as he ever has when second of six in a Listed event over further on New Year's Eve; quick enough to deal with the drop in trip; high on the list.

Two turf wins last summer; ran respectably in a 1m2f fillies' handicap here three weeks ago but she'll need a big personal best to feature at this level.

Ended 2024 in fine form and she turned in another creditable effort at Newcastle three weeks ago; whether she wants this far is a moot point though and she has chunks to find on ratings.
