A few of these have possibilities but the most obvious answer is JACK SPARROW GREY, who is 2-2 over C&D since last month's switch to chasing and seemed to have a fair bit left in the tank on his latest outing. Mister Upton, also a C&D winner, looks interesting on his stable debut and will be feared if strong in the betting. Summer In Milan and Electric Jet also make the shortlist.[Chris Wilson]

Just a respectable third on chasing debut at Lingfield (2m7f, soft) in February but won over hurdles in first-time visor here (2m5f, good) on next outing and his since posted another good effort here; now reverts to fences with cheekpieces tried; must be considered.
Didn't fire at Worcester this month and now 0-12 under all codes but finished close up in to 2m chases in February/March and will be fine over today's longer trip; contender if back on song in first-time cheekpieces.
Well beaten on handicap hurdle debut in January but 2-2 since switched to fences in cheekpieces this spring, with both wins gained over C&D on good ground; might still be improving and makes obvious appeal.
Dual chase winner for Chris Gordon last season, over C&D (good) last May and in first-time cheekpieces at Hereford (2m5f, good to soft) in December; pulled up on consecutive outings in the winter but is back on much better ground for this stable debut and it will be very interesting to see what Anthony Honeyball can do with him.
0-8 over hurdles; stuck to his task pretty well when third at Newton Abbot (2m5f, heavy) last month but this chasing debut will be his first run on ground faster than soft; others have more pressing claims.
Stayed on gamely to cause 14-1 surprise over C&D (good) last month, his second chase success here, and is probably still on a workable mark after recent 3lb rise but her record over fences is very mixed.
Runner-up here (2m2f, soft) on Boxing Day and has posted a couple of fairly good efforts over hurdles at Plumpton since but has very modest strike-rate (1-30) and was over 22l behind Jack Sparrow Grey when third of five over C&D (good) this month.
Ran fairly well when third of five here (2m2f, good) ten days ago but has not progressed from his winning chase debut in April 2023 and needs to find something extra today; 3lb out of the weights.
Won at Newton Abbot (2m5f, good to soft) last summer and ended last season with two fairly respectable runs, latterly when sixth in C&D race won by Millies Mite one month ago, but is out of the weights again today.
