If LIFETIME AMBITION repeats the level of form he showed at Aintree last month he is going to be hard to beat here. Last year's winner Early Doors will be suited by the step back up to this trip and he could be the main danger. Bugs Moran, Plan Of Attack and Hollow Games can fight it out for minor money. Two-time winning chaser; last success came in a hunters chase at Fairyhouse in November 2023; hasn't shown a lot in point-to-points recently and has fallen and pulled up on his last two starts; others look more likely.
Maiden hunter chase winner at Cork in April 2023; won a point-to-point for Niall Kelleher at Bandon in March on soft ground; beaten 14l on latest in Dromahane; probably best watched on first start for Patrick Hassett.
Last year's winner is back to defend his crown; veteran beat the prolific Winged Leader at Oldtown in February; pulled up in the Tetratema at Gowran in March but much better effort when a 4l third at Cork (2m4f, yielding) last month; this trip will suit better; claims.
Grade 3 novice chase winner in his pomp; in fine form this year, winning back to back point-to-points at Belharbour and Belclare before running a fine race in the Foxhunters' at Aintree; could be hard to beat with a repeat of that.
3-7 in point-to-points, including his last two starts at Liscarroll and Dromahane, both on yielding ground; needs to improve to make an impact in his first hunters' chase.
Smart hurdler for Noel Meade, achieving a rating of 136; off 533 days before winning a Dromahane point-to-point on first start for Eugene O'Sullivan; sound effort behind Lisleigh Lad in a 2m4f hunter chase at Cork on latest (Early Doors 1.5l behind); trip and ground will suit here and he is a big player.
Grade 3 novice winner over hurdles and rated 140; best effort in point-to-points a 3l second behind Winged Leader at Portrush; beaten 37l when third in champion hunter chase at Punchestown latest and 18l when second at Fairyhouse on penultimate; place chance.
Three time chase winner under Rules in 2021-2022; mostly consistent in point-to-points this year; beat Winged Leader by 2l at Turtulla in January; runner up last three starts, though was beaten 8l on latest; needs more to win in this company.
Two-time winning chaser rated 129; 3-10 in point-to-points; won by 6l at Punchestown in February and creditable effort in the St James's Place at Cheltenham in March; last of four on latest at Quakerstown; place chance.
Won a maiden hunter chase at Cork in April last year; mostly struggled since in hunter chases and point-to-points; beaten 34l on last start in this sphere at Cork last month; others preferred.
