Top of the list is STROXX (nap), who has won twice at 5f this year and gave it a good shot from the front when a close fourth over 6f at Redcar last time. This dual AW winner remains well treated on his old form and is a big player on this drop back in trip. Kipp Kelly went close at Wolverhampton on Monday and has claims if he can back that up, while the in-form 8yo Street Life also enters the reckoning along with dual Tapeta winner Arlington.[David Moon]

On reduced mark and he returned after wind surgery with fair fifth in big field at Thirsk (6f, good) last month; could get involved if he can build on that but last win was in November 2023 and he's 1-20 on AW.
Overall record of 3-64 but he's won twice at 5f (Tapeta/turf) this year and was a good front-running fourth over 6f at Redcar (beaten less than 2l) ten days ago; remains well handicapped on his old form and he's a big player back in trip.
Eight-time AW winner who has got back on track with placed efforts at Wolverhampton (5f, Tapeta) in last two runs; this is a quick turnaround after his third Monday but he has a better draw this time and he's respected.
All three wins have been at 6f on AW; ended a lengthy losing run in a classified event at Wolverhampton in March but he's been well held in both runs since; had traffic issues at Lingfield last time but his style can depend on luck and this drop to 5f is a concern.
Seven-race maiden who has finished down the field in classified events (7f, AW) in his last two starts; continues to drop down the weights but he needs to raise his game back at this trip.
Dual Newcastle winner (6f, Tapeta), who has had three seconds there this year including over this trip; struggled back on turf last time but he still looks on a workable mark and could bounce back on this return to AW.
Runner-up off 2lb higher over C&D in February but he's not easy to predict and was beaten 11l at Newcastle last time; that took his record to 0-11 and others are more convincing; hood worn in last two runs is removed.
Three wins last year, including two over C&D; now 8lb lower than for his last success but he's been up and down this year and has been well held in last two runs; this drop back in trip is a positive but he needs to turn things around.
Plenty of placed efforts in handicaps but he's still a maiden after 16 starts and he's not been seen since the autumn; returns after 164 days off and will need to be near his best to make a serious impact.
Another 16-race maiden but he's dropped a long way in the weights and was runner-up at Wolverhampton (5f; Street Life third) on Monday; that was an eyecatching effort from off the pace and has claims if he can repeat that form.
