Successful at around 2m1f over hurdles/fences in Ireland; gave himself little chance of seeing out the trip on stable debut at Newcastle (2m7f, good to soft) last month, but interesting back over this distance with cheekpieces given a go.

Well suited to this sort of trip, but looked fortunate to win over C&D on Monday as he was only in third place when the leader fell at the last; more needed under a 7lb penalty, but his rider's 3lb claim negates part of that so should still run his race; stable also runs Le Fauve.

Made a successful chase debut over C&D (good) in October 2022 and was 2lb lower than that when winning in good style at Newbury (2m, good) last month; 5lb higher but still a major player, especially if the ground continues to dry out.

Placed in four of his six starts over hurdles (including on his debut in France), but was pulled up having reportedly bled on chase debut at Plumpton (2m1f, good) last Sunday; made some jumping errors there as well so has something to prove.
