Two-time AW novice winner CAPTAIN KINSELLA was a good third in a handicap at Southwell last month following a break and could build on that run today. Handicap newcomer Queen All Star has won two of her three starts and is feared most ahead of Redorange and Star Chorus, who both remain open to further improvement.[Ben Hutton]

Won Ripon maiden (5f, good to firm) last August on third start and mid-division in Group races the next twice, beaten only 3l when fifth in the Flying Childers at Doncaster (5f, good) on the first occasion; not ruled out on his handicap and seasonal debut.
Won Down Royal maiden (5f, good) last September on the second of his three 2yo starts for Jack Davison; fair third in sales race at the Curragh (6f, good to yielding) later that month and sold for 58,000gns in October; unexposed but improvement is needed off his opening mark on stable debut.
Made it 2-7 in his 2yo campaign for Kevin Ryan when making all in York nursery (5f, soft) last October; sold for 40,000gns later that month; a mark 5lb higher than last time may not necessarily stop him but slow ground may be preferable, so it remains to be seen if today's conditions suit.
Progressive in these cheekpieces on AW for current yard, going close over 6f at Kempton recently; needs to transfer his improvement back to grass and his best turf efforts came on soft/heavy ground, but this stiff 5f could suit and he might not be far away.
Improved with each of his four 2yo runs and got off the mark when readily making all on nursery debut at Yarmouth (6f, good to firm) last September when last seen; gelded since and is in good hands to continue to progress.
Made it two wins from her three starts when landing a Wolverhampton novice (5f, AW) on last month's reappearance; the other win came on fast ground; brings potential to her handicap debut and she's one to consider.
Front-runner who won at Salisbury (6f, good to firm) last June on his second start and twice finished runner-up in 6f AW handicaps in the winter; each-way claims if at the top of his game but that wasn't the case last time and, with his 1-12 record, remains vulnerable to improvers.
He was a very difficult ride on turf on his first two runs but gelded afterwards and has been a vastly different proposition on AW since November, winning twice (5f) and posting a good third on handicap debut at Southwell (5f) last month after a break; has a chance if just as good on turf.
Off the mark at the sixth attempt in Southwell handicap (5f, AW) in January and gelded since; unproven on turf and from 4lb out of the handicap today he's 10lb higher than last time, but represents last year's winning yard and his pedigree provides optimism he'll be capable of better still.
