Things started to click for MIDDLETON VIEW when he was second in a Kempton novice in February and his attractive breeding provides hope he'll have plenty more left in the locker. He gets the nod ahead of fellow handicap newcomer Invitorio, who also has a useful pedigree. Cayman Tai was runner-up in a nursery at Glorious Goodwood last season and could pose a big threat.[Ben Hutton]

Made it 2-3 when winning on nursery debut at Ripon (6f, good) last August and returned to form with very close third at Newcastle (7f, AW) in October; gelded since and he's respected on his return to action.
Won at Thirsk (6f, good) last August on second start and creditable third in Haydock novice (6f, good to soft) next time; down the field in soft-ground Listed race when last seen (gelded in interim) but he retains potential for his good yard now making his handicap debut.
Runner-up on first three starts before winning Ffos Las novice (5f, good to soft) last June, after which he was a fine second of 16 in a nursery at Glorious Goodwood (6f, good to firm); failed to back that up when mid-division at York but remains capable of better and his yard is in good form.
Runner-up at Wolverhampton (6f, AW) last September on his third start but didn't kick on from that and improvement is necessary if he's to make a winning handicap and seasonal debut.
Off the mark at the fifth attempt in Newcastle maiden (6f, AW) in February and close fourth of 11 on subsequent handicap debut at Southwell (6f, AW), where not enjoying a clear run; well beaten on his two turf starts last summer but he's a player if transferring his AW improvement back to grass.
Well beaten on turf last May/June on first two starts but gelded subsequently and returned with close second of six at Kempton (6f, AW) in February; pedigree provides optimism he'll be better than his opening mark.
Didn't really threaten in her three nurseries last August-November but she made it 2-2 when winning by 4l over C&D (good) last July and perhaps a break and the return to this course will be the catalyst for a good run.
Promising third at Ayr (6f, good) last October on second start and won at Redcar (6f, soft) later that month; in good hands and his useful pedigree suggests he has potential off his handicap debut mark; on the shortlist.
Won in a first-time visor (retained since) at Redcar (6f, good) last September on his second nursery start and finished third the next twice (5f/6f, heavy/soft); might not be far away on this reappearance.
